While running an online OOTP league, there are sometimes cases where a problem occurs in the file, and the commissioner needs to go back to a previous game date. OOTP only keeps one backup, and it might be from the previous game day, or one previous upload, depending on the commissioner settings.
To make it easier for commissioners to access previous league files, StatsPlus has implemented an automatic league file backup service for leagues using the hosting service.
Each time a league file is uploaded to StatsPlus, it is copied to cloud storage, and the last three versions of the uploaded league file are kept.
Since one of the three stored files is always the latest file, you essentially have access to the previous two uploaded league files.
Admins may access the list of backups via "League Backups" link on the Exports page:
Clicking on the link will lead to a list of available backups:
The admin can click on the icon in the restore column to bring up a dialog confirming the operation, and after confirmation, a Loading... dialog will appear while the retrieval takes place.
The operation may take up to a minute to complete for large files, so be patient and wait for the final download dialog to appear. Once retrieved, a URL will be shown, and clicking on the URL will trigger download of the league file zip to the local computer.
Note that the Download URL will be valid for about 24 hours, after which it will no longer work.
To use the backup, you would need to take steps as if you were a GM joining a league without a quickstart code. General steps:
At this point, you should see all the .dat files in the folder, and you can start OOTP, and the new folder you created should show as an option to open in the Load Game menu.
